I should think that water would get funky very quickly.
Where do you think he digs all of these?

I was thinking the same, too, and wondered if there was an overflow slot that wasn't edited in. As for location, my guess would be South Asia like Thailand or The Philippines and no more than an hour's drive from one of their city centers.

Wow, when I see something like that it makes me realize how worthless I am.

I did some stalking and could find very little about the guy in the videos.

Me too! My back and my knees hurt right now and all I want to do is be as half as flexible as Mr. Heang.
Hell, I'll glad take as little as 5% of his flexibility!!!

Ok, so who here believes that this guy builds all this stuff with an adze while a crew with $100k of video equipment silently chronicles it all.

...at least it's more realistic than "reality shows" and the shovelware that keeps the lights on for Discovery and National Geographic channels these days.

Thanks! At least I was close (thank you 70's & 80's era National Geographic on PBS...oh, and the magazines! )

We’ve been watching Alone. It’s actually pretty good if you like that stuff.

Speaking of, my mom is a fan of some home renovation sh ow filmed here in Indy. Always surprising to me when Indianapolis is on any national stage.

What is their reward for 3 months of work? I sure hope it’s more than just YouTube views.

The mother-daughter team of redheads? I think they live in Carmel.

...I assume so. Haven’t seen more than 2-3 minutes of it.

Cambodia is an interesting place. Only spent a couple of days there to visit the Tomb Raider locale and had some of the best and somehow least expensive food I have ever had. $3.50 for a decent size meal of the freshest lemongrass/lime leaf chicken, $0.50 I think Tiger beers, and free fresh oil roasted/fried peanuts.

I’m not even worried about the flexibility, I’d like to have his eye for design, ability to use tools, and create construction materials out of stuff at hand in a jungle.

Yeah those shows weren't made for folks like us. 2-3 SECONDS of it and I'm reaching for my phone to read/watch something else.
